The real efficient cow lines consume only Half as much feed, and Produce up from 15% to 35% More Calf per season.

 

The very best of em wean up to 85% of the dam's weight per calf in 200 days. 

 

07 is a good year price wise to glean out the bad attitude, way oversize, or otherwise inefficient cows which may be weaning less than 45% of the dam's weight per calf.

 

This year one can trade those culls for a few more genetic moderate herd builders for the same or less money.

 

Then simply start weaning 30% more calf per cow using about half as much pasture or feed per cow.
